So at my freshman orientation for college, we had a presentation on sexual assault. The lady who spoke was fantastic, and this was her opening PowerPoint slide. I wish I had gotten the rest of it.
SIGNAL BOOST THE FUCKING PISSS OUT OF THIS. THIS IS SO RIDICULOUSLY WRONG. HOLY SHIT I’M LIVID.
Mexican GBE Leader is assuming that all men become rapists when they see a woman’s body. I wonder how many MRAs care.
In the photo, I don’t just see a woman’s body. I also see the items on the shelf. Most people do not consider it normal to feel entitled to taking the items just because they’re visible, meaning they consider a woman’s ownership of her body to be less than a store’s ownership of their merchandise.
I’m pretty sure he was making a joke. Normally I’d agree with you guys. But this time you might have overreacted.
Haha, rape as a punchline, that’s fucking hilarious!
If they dress like that, then the joke can be made. Better rape as a punchline than actual rape.
I want a girl to dress like that and go for a walk in east Brooklyn.
The fucking point is that dressing like anything doesn’t excuse someone else’s actions on your body.
I don’t see how a rape joke is equal to rape.
Where’s the joke part again? Explain the humor in it, where is the funny part. All I see is ‘women who dress like this deserve to be raped’. Like, that is Text, that’s what he’s saying, that the person who raped them isn’t at fault.
Like, why is women being raped funny? I guess rapists might find it pretty funny but who else would you be laughing with?
The fact that you are making excuses for something that obviously is Not a joke and has a rape apologist tilt just makes you seem like a dangerous person that women should avoid. Just like signal boosting Mexican GBE Leader to let others know that he’s someone to avoid.
That’s LITERALLY not what that image says. You’re interpreting it in your own way.
Hang on, so it’s ok to make jokes about torture, war, genocide, murder and a number of other things (and if you say you’ve never made a joke like this then you’re lying), but rape is just simply that disgustingly morally reprehensible that it’s immune to all forms of humour?
I’m not saying rape is funny; it’s not. But I don’t get why the people on this website have this ability to partake in these mind blowing mental gymnastics and see rape as this unbelievable evil atrocity that should be punished by death and people who joke about it should be indefinitely shunned.
Like I said, I’m not saying rape is ok but if you can make a joke about something like, say, murder (which I’d say is definitely a worse crime than rape, input circumstances), you can make a joke about rape.
Either it’s all ok, or none of it is.
Rape is horrific. So yeah, people who make jokes about it should be shunned. It is triggering and upsetting to victims when people go and laugh about it like its nbd. Much like it is upsetting to the victims of the families to make crack ups about 9/11 in America, or the Holocaust, and so on.
Ive been sexually harassed in a fucking store. Touched inappropriately by a man who was following me. Oh but I guess I was asking for it and it wasn’t his fault because it was 90 degrees and I had decided to wear shorts. ..and have had a near rape experience too when I was staying the night at a friends house. So no, I don’t quite appreciate when people go on about “oh heehaw its a JOKE lighten up theres worse things in the world" how about no. Also it is entirely subjective to say murder is worse than rape. I have known some rape victims sometimes believe they would be better off dead, so. But what does that matter, its not a competition of what is worse, its just out of respect for the possible victims you don’t be a fucking asshole and joke around about it. Simple.
Sometimes its actually not a joke at all if you wanna get down to this. A lot of men (AND women) think ^this^ is actually a legitimate excuse for someone to force themselves upon others. This type of shit is actually used against (primarily women) RAPE VICTIMS in court. Bringing their character into it, what they were dressed in, sexual past, boyfriends etc. So nah, people who people play it off as a harmless joke are part of the problem.
Also the fuckbucket saying that is not “literally” what it said and people are interpreting it wrong. lol ok no. That is exactly what the statement insinuates. In other words: If you dress a certain way in which shows off certain parts of your body .. it is your fault that you got raped.
mom no. mom. no. mom stoppppp. mom stop. I want to play with my friends
Lenny I’ve told you a hundred times that tommy benson is just bad news. We’re going home.
I just want someone who will kiss me when I’m mad and lets me cry in front of them and buys me pizza and watches scary movies with me and holds my hand real tight even if it’s sweaty and thinks I’m beautiful no matter what I look like and lets me steal their sweaters so I can sleep with their smell on my skin and who laughs at the same things I do and just never lets me go, no matter how hard I try to push them away.
Schoep, a 19 year old dog, is taken into the lake every night by his owner, John, to help soothe his arthritis and help him fall asleep.
NO YOU GUYS DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW EMOTIONAL THIS MAKES ME.
this dog was nineteen and healthy in every other way. And this guy was facing possibly having to have him put down because he wasn’t responding to medication like he should be.
So he found that he could carry him into the cool water of the lake and it would sooth his arthritis and let him sleep peacefully. And he did this every single day, and he would stand there for hours while his dog slept.
I believe Shoep has since passed, but this is incredible dedication to your pet. I honestly wish more people were like this. He was able to make the last few months of his dogs life comfortable so that he could pass naturally and that is incredible.
I’m so glad to see the younger generation waking up to this hypocrisy.
The homeowner at 22 one is killing me.
This meme makes me so angry because it’s so on-target.
Hot shit I didn’t know they made a meme of my almost 60 year old republican step dad.
